Billboard Magazine has christened crooner Daniel Powter “One Hit Wonder Of The Decade.”

Ouch….

Powter, whose hit diddly “Bad Day” reigned atop the Billboard pop charts for five weeks in 2006 and even served as the dreaded “Exit Song” on one season of American Idol, was named as the decade’s top one-hit wonder by the Music Bible. The magazine describes one-hit wonders as acts whose second hit did not reach the top 25 and only included acts from 2000 to 2007.

Also mentioned on the list of nearly 50 acts are Blu Cantrell, who swept the charts with “Hit ‘Em Up Style” in 2001, former Diddy girl group Dream, and Grammy-nominated duo Gnarls Barkley.

Rockers Weezer have cancelled the rest of their December tour dates after the band’s frontman, Rivers Cuomo, nearly escaped death when his tourbus hit a patch of ice and skidded off the New York State Thurway early Sunday.

The singer suffered three cracked ribs after the vehicle crashed into a ravine on the way to a show at Boston University’s Agganis Arena in Massachusetts on Sunday. Rivers was also traveling with his wife, two-year-old daughter, and nanny, who escaped unharmed.

Emergency crews were forced to break into the bus to rescue Cuomo, who was trapped in the wreckage and could not move or speak because of his injuries. He was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital in Amsterdam, New York, and has since been transferred to another medical center, where he remains under observation. His assistant Sarah sustained two fractured ribs and a fractured lower vertebrae.

Late Sunday, a spokesperson for the band took to their Official MySpace Page to write up a detailed account of the accident.

“Rivers was tossed around violently, waking up as he landed back on his mattress. He recalled not hitting anything, but later we learned that he must have, as he cracked 3 ribs and sustained some mostly minor but very painful internal damage, as well as hurting his lower leg somehow,” the rep writes.

“The interior of the bus was a chaotic mess with broken glass, food and clothing items strewn everywhere, as well as the refrigerator flying off the wall and many drawers coming right out of their slots. On top of it the sliding interior doors were fused shut and the bus’s electronics were ruined, so no one could get into the back lounge where Rivers lay immobile and unable to speak due to the pain in his ribcage……”

The former Spice Girl is reportedly shocked over the robbery of up to 75 dresses from her exclusive fashion line. The frocks due to go on sale at tony New York department store Neiman Marcus, were stolen as they were being driven to London’s Heathrow Airport, The Courier-Mail reports.

Police believe the van may have been followed after picking up the dresses.After stopping to make a delivery, the van’s driver returned to find its padlocks broken and two men emerging from the vehicle carrying boxes.

The driver told police he was knocked over, threatened with a knife, and left bruised and shaken after the men pushed past him to make their escape.

“This operation was meticulously planned. A 17-year-old murder suspect has told authorities in Indiana that Dexter, the popular Showtime series about a serial killer, inspired him to strangle his younger brother last month, ABC News has learned. Anthony Conley has confessed to murdering his 10-year-old brother, Conner, during an argument last Saturday night. The troubled teen turned himself in the following day and has reportedly told authorities that the TV show compelled him do it.

“Conley said that he just ‘felt like [Dexter],’” Dearborn-Ohio County Prosecutor Aaron Negangard told ABC News. “He analogized the murder to when someone wants a hamburger,” Negangard continued. “He said that when someone wants a hamburger they’ve just got to have it.”

According to ABC, the Conley Murder is the second slaying linked to the popular series, now in its fourth season. In 2008, 29-year-old Mark Twitchell — a devoted fan of the show — imitated a Dexter storyline in the murrder of a friend.

It took a few weeks, but The Blind Side has finally eclipsed New Moon at the weekend box-office.

The real life football drama The Blind Side took over the No. 1 spot, earning a $20.4 million victory over the vampire romantic epic, in its third weekend. After two weekends in first-place, The Twilight Saga: New Moon finished second with $15.7 million.

The Blind Side had been the No. 2 movie for the previous two weekends but has remained a hit at the theater this holiday season, even inspiring award buzz for stars Sandra Bullock and Quinton Aaron. The movie stars Bullock as a woman whose family adopts homeless teen Michael Oher, now a rookie tackle for the Baltimore Ravens.
